Domestic Violence Awareness Project

Meridian/Columbus, MS | In partnership with service advocate Kelsey Hearn, collected and created domestic violence care packages for the women in the domestic violence shelter in the Meridian, MS area. In addition, our founder, Jilkiah Bryant, hosted a wellness seminar at the Mississippi School for Math and Science and got students to write letters to the women to place inside of care packages.

Extend a Hand, Uplift a Heart

Kemper County, MS | In partnership with service advocate Trinity Davis, Project Powerful hosted a food/clothing drive for a poverty-stricken area in Kemper County. Trinity collected clothes, shoes, canned goods, and other things and went from door to door to pass out these items.

Kemper County Cheer Clinic

Dekalb, MS | In partnership with service advocate Randius Gully, we hosted a cheer clinic for young ladies ages 3-10 where they learned basic cheer routines/moves and learned more about healthcare and wellness. At the end of the three-day clinic, participants were allowed to cheer at a high school home game alongside Kemper County High School cheerleaders.

Busy Baskets

Columbus, MS | Partnering with the Columbus High Honors Society, Hunter Brooks and recruited volunteers packaged over 20 care packages for children at the Bonheur Hospital in Memphis, TN that included coloring books, crayons, pencils, markers, and workbooks.

F.A.M.E

Ruleville, MS | Service Advocate, Raven Day, hosted a college fair, F.A.M.E (Future Advocates for Mississippi's Education) in her hometown of Ruleville, MS where she contacted universities and colleges across the state to travel to her hometown. Day acquired the facility in Ruleville, MS, as well as a guest speaker to talk to youth.

Lended Hand

Mendenhall, MS | Lended Hand was focused on aiding in the lives of the homeless community by providing clothes and materials necessary for day-to-day life. Service Advocate, Corrin Dixon, acquired sponsorship from local churches in her area and church members to acquire items like socks, deodorants, foot powders, clothes, lotion, blankets, and other outerwear for a local community service ministry in her area, the Billy Brumfield House where she was able to give over 100 donated goods.

Supply Initiative

Yazoo City, MS | Service Advocate, Madison Meeks, hosted a bi-monthly supply initiative for elementary school students and teachers at a local Yazoo City public school where she collected goods and raised funds to provide classrooms with school supplies and motivational notes.

Project Be a Kid

Ruleville, MS | Service Advocate, Makayla Williams, hosted a Christmas toy drive in her community in response to COVID-19. Williams provided around 30 toys, 4 bikes, and other fun items for youth living in her community.

Operation Gratitude Project

Service advocate, Alexandra Magee, in partnership with Operation Gratitude collected 50 letters from students for a letter drive to send to U.S. Military Officials.

The Unidentified Scholar

Abeerdeen, MS | Service advocate, Niyah Lockett, created a website containing up-to-date scholarship opportunities, summer camp opportunities, links to supplemental tutoring programs, standardized testing tips and dates, and important college deadlines.

Power Partner: S.T.E.M.Ed By Bri

With the support of founder Dr. Brianna Simms, Project Powerful and S.T.E.M.ed by Bri sponsored 12 junior scholars (in grades 3-12) with free STEM literacy activity boxes over a three-month period, while Dr. Simms facilitated a guided program to introduce them to forensic science, help them explore and utilize the kits, have them meet actual scientists that looks like them.

Power in Knowledge (P.I.K) Platform

Delivering online profile-based tutoring sessions to over 25 students in grades 3–12 across the state through 45 tutoring sessions.

St. James Methodist Church Volunteer Program

Supplied over 30 volunteers for St. James Methodist Church’s biweekly feeding program, assisting with the distribution of food, school supplies, and other essentials to the local community.

Delivered over 30 care letters and packages to two local elderly homes during the Christmas holiday season
